Drawing inspiration from vaudeville, old time glamour, film noir, the exotics and more, Lux brings to the stage her unique take on traditional burlesque showcasing acts with sinful themes, smoldering seduction and coquettish playfulness.

Vesper White
As a young pioneer in the creative arts, Vesper White has laid siege to hearts and minds all around Australia for the past three years. Best loved for her darkly alluring burlesque acts, Vesper has no fear in exploring everything from the traditional and historical, to the alternative, the horrifying and that based in fetish.
The strength of her stage presence is rare in a creature so young; she possesses the ability to hold an audience quietly captive before drawing a subsequent response of inimitable rapture. White is known for her powerful, enchanting eyes, cheeky smile, an energy that has been likened to Bettie Page, and a hip-shake reminiscent of the Chicago State Fair exotics. As a well-read and researched creative type on all things artistic and performative, Vesper carries herself with a professionalism that exists only in seasoned entertainers.
Scarlett
Scarlett, a Melbourne based burlesque performer, has a background in classical ballet and theatre performance – an alluring and captivating combination for audiences who seek a thrill in the beauty of dance and the tease of Burlesque. With over 15 years of performing history, Scarlett brings an elegant edge to classic and neo-burlesque. Her twinkle toes have graced the stages of Opera Houses in Sydney, Europe and Asia to audiences both large and intimate.
L’Amour
Evie Red
Born formally as Evelyn Rouge, to a couple of Parisian paupers this small time country girl has evolved into a burlesque performer. Now known as Evie Red, she is an actress, ballerina, storyteller and dancer. This is one hoochie coochie, hotsy-totsy sugar mama!
Channelling the vintage glamour of past icons such as Josephine Baker, Red exudes opulence, style and grace peppered with some frantic crazy dancing!
Classically trained as a Cecchitti ballet dancer, Evie Red has performed at many private and public events as both a soloist and troupe. Most notably performances include Monties Dames at Monties and as a Majestic Nymph at Red Bennies for the NYE2011 Dionysia Show.
Gypsy Wood
After working in cabaret, burlesque and contemporary dance for over a decade Gypsy Wood has emerged as a highly original performer with a penchant for the comic, clever, shocking and divine.
Gypsy’s mother, Jeanette Luke performed as a child in Vaudeville. Then in the 60′s worked as a soubrette to showgirls such as Sandra Nelson while dancing in the most famous clubs in Sydney such as the Paradise, the Checkers Club and the Motor Club. Jeanette named her first daughter after that great icon of the tease – Gypsy Rose Lee
A graduate of the Victorian College of Arts Gypsy started her dance career in Australia, however was propelled into the performance underworld and found a life more chaotically bohemian and interesting. From jumping out of giant cakes at parties for New York’s high society to splashing around in fake blood in the dirty gay fetish clubs of Sydney, hosting London game show nights to performing in edgy offbeat comedy shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Gypsy runs the spectrum from vaudeville, variety, burlesque to comedy and contemporary performance art.
Gypsy starred in the sell out Strut n’ Fret production of ‘Feasting on Flesh’ at the Sydney Opera House in 2006, the Spiegeltent at the Brisbane festival and the Assembly Rooms Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2008. And later in ‘Ali McGregor’s Late-Nite Variety-Nite Night’ at the Melbourne Town Hall for Melbourne’s International Comedy Festival and Assembly Rooms Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2009.
In the lead up to the 2007 Australian Federal Election Gypsy created and performed an act where she emerged as John Howard in an American flag bikini, stripping to Britney Spears ‘hit Gimme More’. Later that year Gypsy Wood was called upon to perform her patriotic duty as an Australian Burlesque artist– when asked to strip as a playboy bunny for Australia’s former Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, on The Chaser’s War on Everything in front of 2.3 million television viewers, the next day headlines read, ‘Rudd runs like a rabbit!” The Australian, 2007
And in 2009 Gypsy exploded from a Labor Ballot box as John Howard at Bob Hawke’s 80th birthday party at the Sydney Opera House. Stripping in front of then Prime Minister Kevin Rudd, former prime minister Paul Keating and former Labor leader Kim Beazley creating a whirlwind of scandal headlines and news , Hawke Burlesque Antics a Hit, Says Dancer –ABC News 2009
Since 2010 has co produced the cult festival show Comic Strip An evening of Stand-Up Comedy and Strip Tease in the style of a New York strip club circa 1964. Comic Strip played in the infamous ‘Garden of Unearthly Delights’ and sold out its entire run in the Deluxe Tent and later in 2011 for Assembly Gardens in the Edinburgh Fringe festival. Comic Strip is now running again in 2012.
Skopalova
Skopalova began her performance career as a rhythmic gymnast where she medalled nationally on many occasions. After an intense 12 years in gymnastics, Skopalova expanded her talents to something a little more daring, namely burlesque, cabaret and circus. She soon found herself in Melbourne’s most esteemed corporate events, charity balls and fashion shows including Fashion + Aid, Red Ball and the recent Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival.
As Skopalova burst into Melbourne’s burlesque scene she brought a whole new skill set to the stage combining the rhythmic gymnastics apparatus with dance, circus and tasteful teese. Regularly gracing the stage at Red Bennies, Skopalova has also featured at Bijou Cabaret, CirQue, Cristal Burlesque and the Australian Burlesque Festival. Whether she is balloon popping, ribbon twirling or hanging from the roof, Skopalova amazes audiences with her ?exibility, athleticism and charm.
Rosy Rabbit
Australia’s darling of burlesque, Rosy Rabbit has been teasing audiences across the country since 2006, when she leapt on to the stage with a head full of dreams and taste for the sweet life!
With a background in classical ballet and musical theatre Rosy has found burlesque an unrivaled outlet for her creative passions including performance, costume design and event production. As co-founder and p…roducer of the Australian Burlesque Festival Rosy is passionate about building and uniting the community and embracing the many facets of this timeless and ever-changing art of tease and sensuality.
A shining star in the burlesque revival Rosy has performed at many of Australia’s premier burlesque and subculture events, music festivals and regular showcases. She also toured North America and Canada in 2009 and was selected to perform at the 2010 London Burlesque Week.
Agent Lynch (UK)
Agent Lynch, the burlesque bombshell and pin-up and all round 60s aficiondo, has been a firm favourite of the Burlesque scene for the past 5 years. A circuit fixture in her native London she also performs regularly in France, Italy, Ireland and accross Europe. Famous for her inventive espionage, Barbarella and iconic 60s and 70s inspired routines she has gained a reputation for out of the ordinary shows specialising in pyrotechnics, magic, humorous twists and working with conceptual fashion designers such as Rachel Friere (Jessie J) and Petra Storrs (Lady Gaga and Paloma Faith).
Because of her love of 1960s glamour US lingerie Brand Secrets in Lace appointed Agent Lynch in 2008 to be their UK spokesmodel, and she represents them at the London and New Orleans Burlesque Festival each year. Agent Lynch also produced and starred in the acclaimed New York disco inspired cabaret Studio 64 also featuring acclaimed cabaret aritsts’ Kiki Kaboom, Roxy Velvet and Kitty Bang Bang (Hurly Burly) which ran at Brickhouse, London for a 2 month extended run. This was followed by the Prince Tribute show ‘Purple Rain’ which starred Europe’s leading Prince tribute artist Jimmy Love. Studio 64 has now gone on to tour in Vienna and now produces the cabaret for Winterwell Festival annually.
Agent Lynch has danced her way around Bollywood, performed for Rock royalty (Queen), taken to Bestival’s main stage and starred in music promos for bands such as Elbow, Tricky, The Enemy, The Correspondents, Six Nation State. Her media credits include ABC New Orleans, ITV’s ‘I love the 60s’, a panelist on BBC Radio 4 and Honda’s Live Every Litre documentary, which saw Agent Lynch perform her iconic Yves Klein Tribute live in Montmartre, Paris. Agent Lynch also features in the books ‘Be Burlesque’ by Soazig Le Bozec and ‘Domestic Burlesque’ by Elsa Quarsell which became the front cover of the The Times Spectrum magazine. Her burlesque faux-espoinage exploits also lead to her arrest in Morocco, but that’s another story.
Amelie
Amélie “The Torrid Tease” is Australia’s seductive and exotic beauty specialising in the art of burlesque. Known for her unique style of performance, Amélie combines elements of classic bump and grind with various other dance genres, themes and narratives to create an enthralling blend of burly-q.
Making her burlesque debut under the name ‘Amélie Lulu’ in Brisbane late 2009, it wasn’t long before she became a regular on QLD’s burlesque circuit and started winning awards for her routines (such as Miss Burlesque Brisbane 2010 & 2011). Since moving to Melbourne late 2011 she has changed her name to simply ‘Amelie’ and has started to emerge in Melbourne’s burlesque scene with her enchanting brand of burlesque.
Imogen Kelly
The Strawberry Siren
Miss Strawberry Siren has been dazzling Burlesque audiences both in Australia and overseas for the last 5 years. No stranger to the stage, Miss Strawberry has been performing since the tender age of 12 (yes…. that’s 17 years under lights!) Miss Strawberry draws on her extensive background in Circus, Theatre and Dance to provide a fresh and fancy take on Burlesque that she likes to call Cirlesque!

La Viola Vixen (QLD)
A dream of golden age burlesque brought to life before your very eyes!
Performing Sassy stripteases from New York to New Zealand, Viola’s impeccable sense of theatricality and captivating command of old school burly-q and classic showgirl dance styles sees her at the forefront of Australia’s burlesque comeback.
Viola began her career in 2006 at La Lola Salon – Lola the Vamp’s school of burlesque. Her early routines made a great impression on her tutor and she was soon offered the role of head teacher. Viola has not looked back since – almost 5 years on and VV’s success continues to ripple, her titillating shimmy shakin burly q performances and striking pin up portfolio quickly becoming the stuff of legend and earning her just place in Australia’s Neo Burlesque History.
Frankie Valentine
Burlesque performer, vintage costumer and all around femme fatale, Frankie Valentine, sets old time glamour on fire with a signature sensuality that has all things smoldering in her wake. Frankie perfects the classic art of the strip tease with a personal and contemporary approach to burlesque, which has seen her gracing stages around the country with her innovative character based routines. Wild, inspired and criminally seductive.
Bella de Jac
The international tease, jazz baby and hoochie coocher is shimmy shaking her way across Australia. With a fetish for astonishing costumes, real old fashioned bump-and-grind and a little dark humour just for the hell of it, you don’t want to miss this little thrill ride.
Having secured her place as official burlesque dancer for Pulp Press, winning 2nd place best UK newcomer at the London Burlesque Festival 2009, and now securing the crown for Miss Burlesque Gold Coast 2011, Bella has captured the hearts of audiences all over the world.
Becky Lou
Becky Lou began her career with Perth’s Sugar Blue Burlesque, winning fans with her comical routines, silent film face and killer curves. Now in Melbourne, she continues to purvey her favourite things – sparkles, giggles and partial nudity.? A dynamic firecracker on stage! Comical, sassy and enchanting! ?Recently won Miss Burlesque Tasmania and Miss Pin-up for Miss Burlesque Grand Final 2010.
Honey B. Goode
Honey B. Goode burst onto the Melbourne burlesque scene in 2008, and has forged a reputation as an original, charismatic and often surprising performer. Utilising her training in modern and classical dance, physical theatre and the dramatic arts, this chameleon-like performer delights in pushing the boundaries of burlesque. With a nod to the past and a cheeky wink to the future, Honey takes the elements of classic burlesque and puts her own modern spin on them. Her mix of classic burlesque and comedic tomfoolery has been featured at the Ruby Revue, Red Door Burlesque, Burlesque Bingo and Elliott Goblet’s Crimson Goat Cabaret Club.
Recently Honey was honoured to be installed as a resident performer at Fitzroy’s Burlesque Bar. In 2010, she took part in the inaugural Australian Burlesque Festival, being crowned best newcomer in the Baby Bombshells competition. This playful, versatile and entertaining performer is sure to leave you with a song in your heart, a twinkle in your eye, and a yearning for more of her Honey B. Goode-ness!
